You
can download the OS Patch on this page. Please read the
instructions below very carefully before you attempt to
update your OS. Yamaha, in some countries are able to
loan equipment required to update your OS for the cost
of the postage and packaging. You will need to register
your RS with your local Yamaha Office before you can loan
any equipment to perform this operation. I am aware that
some countries are building stocks of SmartMedia Cards
ready for this update including the UK. Please contact
your local Yamaha Sales Office if you need further assistance
with this matter.

Tools required for update
You will need the following...
8MB or larger SmartMedia (3.3V)
SmartMedia floppy disk adapter
How to update
| 1 |
Insert
the SmartMedia containing the upgrade program into
the slot on the front panel of RS7000. The correct
direction of SmartMedia is printed on the panel.

Turn
the power on with "REC" button and "STOP"
button pressed and held.

| 3 |
Press
"ENTER" button after version check. The
program is automatically updated and the process is
displayed on LCD.

| 4 |
If the program successfully updated, the message shown
in appears to prompt to reboot the system. Turn the
power off.

| 5 |
Remove the SmartMedia from the slot.

| 6 |
"Factory
Set" is performed.
Turn the power on with "OCT DOWN" button
and "OCT UP" button and "STORE"
button pressed and held. The data is set to the factory
default settings. |
