RUMOR OF NEW OS RELEASE
As
Yamaha forge ahead and set the trend with industry bending
technology they continue to show tireless support
for their existing customers by releasing a new and updated
Operating System for the RS7000. Details are sketchy at
this time but our sources tell us that no date has been
officially set as yet but the release is due out very
soon. The update will officially go live on www.yamahasynth.com
and will be available for download from there first so
keep a sharp eye.

THERAPY IS BORN
THERAPY,
billed as the largest gathering of RS users is now in
the making. This event which Yamaha are pleased to support
and is hosted by rs7000.org in London, will bring together
RS users from all over the world together
in one room for the first time. Attendees will be able
to bring their own equipment and hook up into a sound
system to hear their tunes played on a rig and have the
opportunity to jam and mix with other RS users whilst
sharing techniques and tricks with fellow musicians. Scheduled
for attendance are Darren Round from rs7000.org, Yamaha
themselves who will be there in force for you all to meet
and Sam Reeve from Retek Records for sound engineering
and production advice. Don't miss this once in a lifetime
opportunity to meet others like you. THERAPY is scheduled
to be on Saturday the 11th of December 2004 in London
UK. The venue is still to be confirmed.

XMAS COMES EARLY - NEW OS
The
waiting is finally over, all the questions are answered,
we asked and Yamaha delivered. We are pleased to announce
that the new Operating System for this genre bending
instrument is finally released. New features include
Grid Step Record mode whilst hearing all tracks, access
to the K-P sections from the keypad, punch-in record
functionality and 12 new filters... Yamaha have once
again proven their unrivalled ability to listen to the
market and produce the most powerful tools for musicians,
no matter what we ask for. Even in the light of the
release of the Roland MC909, which some say is Rolands
attempt at an RS clone, the RS continues to stride ahead,
leaving all others behind it whilst setting the style
and bending the rules.

FREE STYLES AVAILABLE!
Yes you read it correctly :) we've
got some free styles for you courtesy of our Yammy friends
in the UK. These are available to everyone with an RS7000,
all we ask is for 2 minutes of your time to answer some
questions about you and your RS. Many of the styles contain
samples however neither of the banks use more than the
onboard memory that comes with the RS (4 MB) so you've
got no excuse!

OS UPDATE RELEASED TODAY
Today Yamaha launched the long awaited
OS patch
v1.14 which has "improved some technical points related
to MIDI related setup and sampling mode. The new Operating
System makes it easier to use the RS7000". You can
download the patch BY
CLICKING HERE and follow the instructions either in
the ZIP file. You may need extra equipment to perform
this operation but Yamaha are continuing their commitment
to their customers and ordering large reserves of SmartMedia
to help those customers without the necessary hardware.
In the UK this will be a free service, with a refundable
deposit to cover goods together with a small postage charge.

RS7000 WINS FM MAG AWARDS
In the vast global ocean of technology the RS7000 continues
to make huge waves around the world. It has started to
gather monumental reviews, has been awarded 10 out of
10 by the UK's Future Music Magazine and the much coveted

TOP 30 TRACKS LIST GOES LIVE
Well its taken us a while but we've finally got the live
Top 30 tracks database working. We have 2 databases, the
first showing the best tracks in the order that people
vote for them and the second showing the most requested
download. You'll need an Artists Profile, which is free,
to take part and you'll also need to upload some of your
own music. All the links you need are on the right in
the "featured RS7K owners" section. Have fun. |

UK GET FIRST PATTERN RELEASE
As part of the continuing Yamaha
support for this groundbreaking instrument, all UK RS7000
owners who have registered their kit with Yamaha will,
in a few weeks receive the first "Extra Patterns"
release from Yamaha. If you haven't done so already now
is a great time to register your instrument by either
completing the form included with your RS, by calling
Yamaha directly or by registering online with your local
Yamaha dealer. Online registrations automatically qualify
for free entry into the Yamaha £1000 UKP prize draw.
